We find the dancer a photographer, and the photographer a dancing partner.
As the camera follows the dancer, the dancer responds to the camera's movements. It looks like the dancer is filming, while the photographer seems to be dancing. The body performs; the camera performs in return. This is not a dance film.
In this work, the act of filming becomes a choreography of labor: the photographer navigates the space to capture an image, and in doing so, their body performs. The dancer's movements are guided not by a score, but by the rhythms of the camera's pursuit—and the director's demands.
The director issues commands—framing, timing, action. Yet these commands are themselves in service of something beyond the director's will: how a compelling performance might unfold, how to draw the performers into movements. Here, the apparatus ceases to be a passive recording device and becomes something closer to connective tissue—linking the bodies at work in a recursive loop where everyone commands and everyone obeys.
Originally presented as a live performance at the Museum of National Taipei University of Education (MoNTUE), where a director's spoken cues set both cinematographer and dancer into motion while the footage was projected in real time, the work staged the rehearsal as the work itself. Across three iterations, the boundaries between documenting and performing dissolved with each take.
我們幫舞者找了一個攝影師，幫攝影師找了一個舞伴。
攝影機跟隨舞者，舞者回應攝影機的移動。舞者有點像在攝影，攝影師有點像在跳舞。用身體演出，用鏡頭演出。這不是舞蹈影像。
在這件作品中，拍攝成為一種勞動的編舞：攝影師為了捕捉影像而穿梭於空間，身體因此成為表演。舞者的動作不是依循舞譜，而是回應攝影機追逐的節奏，以及導演的要求。
導演發出指令——取景、節奏、開拍。這些指令同樣服從於某種超越導演意志的東西：一個精彩的表演如何展開，如何引導演出者真正舞動起來。於此，機器不再是被動的紀錄裝置，而更接近某種結締組織——將工作中的身體連結在一個遞迴的迴圈裡，每個人都在指揮，每個人都在服從。
這件作品最初於北師美術館以現場演出形式發表：導演以口述指令同時調度攝影師與舞者，影像即時投映於空間。作品將排練本身展演為作品。在三場演出中，紀錄與表演的邊界隨著每一次「開拍」逐漸消融。
